New and current trustees tour the Leduc Community Hospital during the new trustee orientation May 13, 2024.

At the April 17 regular board meeting, the Foundation officially welcomed three new volunteer trustees to the board - Kim Falconer, Jeff Klassen and Robert Scoular.

With the breadth and depth of their experience and expertise, and their passion for serving their community, they are welcome additions to the board and the Foundation’s efforts to elevate healthcare in the region.

“We’re excited to have these individuals on our team,” says Camille Bailer, board chair. “On behalf of the Foundation, thank you for choosing to contribute your time, expertise and experience to the organization and this board. You are appreciated.”

Here's an introduction to our newest trustees. If you encounter them at a Foundation event or out in the community, be sure to say hello.

Kim Falconer has been a resident of Leduc since 2011. Growing up in Yellowknife, NWT included many visits and stopovers in Leduc since childhood. A dual citizen of Canada and the UK, Kim enjoys travelling, cross country skiing, and exploring the local pathways and parks with her dog Clyde. Kim is a proud alumna of the University of Alberta and Edinburgh Business School and works in the philanthropic sector in support of post secondary education and research. Kim is very pleased to volunteer on the Board of the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation and is grateful for the life changing healthcare she received so close to home when it was urgently needed.

Jeff Klassen is a firefighter for the City of Edmonton and the owner of Sign Guru. With over 25 years of Emergency Response experience, including as an Advanced Paramedic, he is skilled at problem identification, priority setting and finding optimal solutions. A long-term resident of the City of Leduc and Leduc County, he believes the Leduc Community Hospital and the Foundation are a vital piece of a healthy and vibrant community. This is his first board position and he is excited to further serve his community in this new role. In his free time, Jeff likes to participate in helping his three children with their activities and enjoy the many different parks and facilities in Leduc.

Robert Scoular is currently a Branch Manager at Servus Credit Union in Leduc. He has been in banking for almost nine years, starting in Toronto and moving to Edmonton 2.5 years ago. In his position he focuses on building financial fitness and helping members prosper. This opportunity aligns with his personal passion to help people and find opportunities to make their lives better. Robert has been married for four years to his amazing wife Ana. In their spare time, you'll find them hiking, travelling, fishing or watching hockey.
