Nisku-Leduc Rotary Gives to Scholarship and Awards Program
With funds from their holiday 50/50 raffle this past year, the Nisku-Leduc Rotary Club presented a cheque for $5000.00 to the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation for the Scholarship and Awards program. Gerald Thomas, Rotary Club Vice-President adds,
We support many things in the Leduc region, including education and the health and well being of our community. There is a significant need for healthcare professionals in our region and the Foundation's Scholarship and Awards program is a worthy initiative.
The Foundation is grateful for the Rotary’s generosity and thanks them for being a long-standing Partner In Health.
The Scholarship and Awards program was established in 2021 and directly benefits individuals in the Leduc region who have a passion for and commitment to healthcare. Two (2) $1000.00 scholarships are available annually for students pursuing post-secondary education in healthcare related studies. Two (2) $500.00 awards are also available for healthcare professionals pursuing healthcare related continuing educational/professional development.
