Ladies' Auxiliary Supports the Wish List
The Foundation is grateful for our numerous Partners in Health including the Ladies' Auxiliary Alberta N.W.T. Command, which recently donated funds in support of two (of the six) patient treatment recliners for the Emergency Department of the Leduc Community Hospital.
"Funds for this project were donated to the Command Hospital Fund by all Ladies’ Auxiliaries in the province”, says Noreen Farren, District #8 Commander. "Each year, four hospitals are chosen to receive a donation of equipment at the cost of up to $5000 – funds not covered by government grants. This year Leduc Community Hospital was chosen as a recipient of funding to cover two of the patient treatment recliners for the Emergency Department."
During their visit, Noreen along with Bonnie Scott, President of the Leduc Ladies' Auxiliary, where shown how the patient treatment recliners are used, especially for IV therapy patients. In the short time they were at the hospital, three patients benefited from the new recliners, enhancing the level of care the at the Leduc Community Hospital.
The Ladies’ Auxiliary Alberta N.W.T. Command to the Royal Canadian Legion is a non-profit organization operated separately from the Royal Canadian Legion, but together they thrive and support local communities across the Province and NWT. New members are always welcome. For more information, visit their website.
