The Wish List 2019-2020
Investing in health care helps secure a healthy future for all. In October 2019, the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation launched its first Wish List campaign.
The items on this Wish List benefited numerous departments, multiple areas of care and our region as a whole. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, funds raised during this campaign supported:
- Philips Digital Diagnostic X-Ray Unit $65,000 (relocation from U of A to Leduc Community Hospital)
- Five (5) Patient Treatment Recliners $9,300 (patient comfort in IV Therapy/Out-Patient Deptartment)
- Two (2) Difficult Airway Management Carts $4,500 (for patients in airway distress, ER & Unit 23)
- Portable Wheelchair Scale - Homecare $1,800 (to assist in weighing clients unable to ambulate)
- Three (3) Televisions & Wall Mounts $1,800 (to stream health, safety & development messages in Public Health Centres)
- Commode Shower Chair $1,800 (providing safe & dignified bathing for patients with limited mobility in Subacute & Transition Care)
- Upright Freezer Unit - Food Services $1,150 (enhancement of increased storage & food safety)
- Therapeutic Exercise Supplies - Rehab $1,000 (Occupational Therapy enhancement)
- Pulse Oximetry Unit - Rehab $900 (vital equipment for rehab assessment of patients)
