From November 15 - 30, we're running a mini campaign called Coffee for Comfort to raise funds for the Foundation's Patient Comfort and Staff Wellness Fund.
In the fall of 2021, the Foundation established a new scholarships and awards program that directly supports the people in our community who have a special passion for and commitment to healthcare through their chosen profession.
Applications are accepted in November and recipients are announced the following March.
Healthcare Studies Scholarships
The Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to students from the Leduc region who are pursuing post-secondary healthcare-related studies. Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded annually to eligible applicants.
Professional Development Awards
The Foundation is pleased to offer financial awards to help support continuing education and/or professional development opportunities, such as courses or seminars, for healthcare professionals working in the Leduc region. Two (2) awards of up to $500 each will be awarded annually to eligible applicants.
This initiative would not be possible without the support of the generous donors and supporters of the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation.
I applied for this award in hopes it would ease the cost of one of my courses towards my bridging RN program, as it is expensive for each individual course. I am committed to both school courses and working full time hours in Leduc ER at the same time. This is a great morale booster to receive validation for my studies.
